I recently watched the film Andrei Rublev, a biopic about the 15th century Russian painter by the same name. In one scene he had been commissioned to paint a cathedral, but was frustrated in that the church requested him to depict violence and retribution against sinners (all poor Andrei wanted to paint were idylic icons). Black metal is typically vehemently anti-christian and often advocates violence against the church including arson to parishes. There's a remarkable similarity between the violence committed by the catholic church throughout its career and the contemporary violence against the church.
Let's supposed that the 15th century Russian church had electric guitars, basses, drum kits, and most importantly, laptops. They would have produced their own version black metal. It would have focused on punishment and all the horrible things god will do to you unless you stop sinning immediately. In short, it should have sounded just like the following song.
This song is not meant to criticize christianity or black metal directly. It is merely suggests that christian fanatics and black metal fanatics have similar means to mutually exclusive ends (Christians killing pagans and pagans killing christians.) This works particularly well because there are some passages in the bible that are, dare I say it, fucking METAL!
All the lyrics are directly taken from the bible except for the chant, which is a Mozarabic chant, "Requiem aeternam," from the 13th century. Where I abridge words in passages, it's not to slant the meaning but just to fit it into the rhyme scheme. Yes, all these verses are taken out of context. Now enjoy the killing!
